Trained in water safety, ocean safety, CPR, and a lifeguard specially trained for private events. Worked as a lifeguard for the UC Santa Barbara FVC.
Prepared for the moments that matter. Trained in emergency response and CPR, including chest compressions and rescue breathing. All certifications are through the American Red Cross.
I believe children learn best with individualized attention. By limiting the number of campers per session, we can be sure to give the right attention to help campers stay safe, learn, and have fun!
My personal and professional experience in the ocean spans a variety of skills, including swimming, surfing, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, SUP, and kayaking. I have a deep love of marine life, and I believe preservation begins with wonder and understanding for the sea and her inhabitants. I volunteered at the Aquarium of the Pacific as a member of their education staff for two years, and I now volunteer at the Monterey Bay Aquarium as well! My knowledge is passed on to your kids at camp!
“Ocean safety camp was the highlight of my daughter’s summer. She had so much fun being on the beach all day with friends. Gianna was a wonderful camp leader, very welcoming, communicative, and reliable. We will most certainly be joining next summer!”
“She said it was the best day of her life!”
“Gianna is an amazing surf coach! Our kid was deathly afraid of the ocean and she got all our kids to love it, AND safely play in it. They came home spouting facts about ocean animals we didn’t even know about and even learned first aid. She’s the best surf coach in Santa Cruz.”
